Ah...the challenges of blogging. That's this week's writing prompt. Well, there are several prompts, but this is the one I've chosen to use.
There are a couple of obstacles that keep me from being a great blogger. One is a lack of knowledge--easily corrected with a little research and mentoring. Believe it or not, there are many successful bloggers who strive to help others make gains.
The other obstacle is more personal. It's time management.
This is the difficult one because it is within my own ability--my lack of discipline keeps getting in the way. (Which also affects my lack of knowledge...)
Honestly, I feel like my blog has good bones. I feel like I have what it takes to take my blog to the next level. My problem?? Managing my time, allowing for good, solid content. I mean, I have five kids, a husband, a home, and a dog.
Oh, and I'm beginning to think this bronchitis may be permanent. UGH.
To be a good blogger you also have to devote time to the blogger world. Period.
You have to cultivate your blog. You have to plant interesting content and eye-catching design, but you also have to feed your blog buddies with visits and quality comments. Aye-yi-yi.
Balance. It takes balance.
If I want to take my blog up a notch, I must find a way to balance my life commitments with my writing and blogging desires.
It's that simple.
